Hotell Montholon

Haha! Vi blev av med dem till slut.
Just det, skorna uppe i högra hörnet gjorde sin siste resa. Det börjar nästan bli en tradition att avsluta resor med att slänga ett par skor :) Orkar inte förklara nu.

Toulon - The Sea - Italy - Nice - Toulon
Right now in Nice. Woke up in Italy. Had some ice-cream for breakfast - melonsorbet, pineapple and coco. Yummie! Then after a drink of champagne in Montecarlo. Now spending the night in Nice.
Before that three days and two nights literally by the sea. Loved it :)
Must go see the sea now!

Morning
Now it's early and we are heading to the airport, with a pair of odd socks on... Socks because of the morning-chill here in Sweden. Skavsta here we come! Then France..
It's Time Again :)
A while ago, me and my travelingpartner, Maja, found a cheap ticket to south of France, so our plan is to go back and who knows - maybe see our favourite spot, or some place new to us. Join our trip on the blog and feel free to comment. As much as you like :D

"Be Not Inhospitable to Strangers Lest They Be Angels in Disguise"

This is an English Bookstore in the Latin Quarter just opposite of the Notre-Dame, in Paris. Although in a different street it was founded in the year of 1919 by a strong-willed woman. It's now owned by a very old man with a dog and it's a place where writers meet. One who used to borrow books from the store was Ernest Hemingway in the early 1920's. I would call the atmosphere genuinly "vielle". The place to see, smell, feel, experience if you love books and maybe writing too...

We miss the sun and the sea on this paradise island! Now we're sitting here in Stockholm thinking back and i'ts raining outside.
:(
Time's up :(
I must say I have enjoyed the trip. I'm far from finished when it comes to exploring Europe or even Africa. I've just got a week left, before it's time to go back to work. So, the time has come to pack my belongings and head back to the North. I guess I like it up there too, just that I hate the weather most of the times.
So bye bye lavender, palm-trees, loose dogs and even kisses. It's a bit sad to leave. Most of all it's sad to leave the people behind. As always. So bye bye, because soon I will fly fly...
But I will return!

Ps. Stay tuned. As soon as I get back home I will share some pictures from the trip :)

Kisses & A Picnic
Haha, yeah I thought the headline would capture your interest! You see the French people kiss and kiss and kiss. I mean when they great each other. What were you thinking? Here it's three times, in Paris two. So yesterday at the picnic there were about 50 maybe 60 people. Can you imagine the number of kisses from just yesterday?! Well it was nice anyhow (not just the kisses). We played some Petanque (southern form of boules), and my team even won once :) Others were playing the guitar, poker, other cardgames and ball-games. It was really nice.
Would love to tell you more, but I've giot to run off to my pedicure (got an appointment soon)

Il Pleut
It's raining. This morning when I woke up it was raining outside. So I opened the door to my sister's tiny garden and stayed for a while in the bed, just watching and listening to the sound of the rain. It' s still rather warm + 25 °C, so it's alright and a summer-rain is kind of nice. Isn't it?
Yesterday I decided to go find our meeting place and I did after a very long... story. Remind me to tell you that one, next time we meet.
Well there are many things I could tell you about. French Cinema, French Music or French Shopping, but I won't. Not this time. Tomorrow I'm going to another meeting, on Sunday I' m invited to a Picnic with my newfound friends.. so the days go by.
Now it's raining a little, again.
Take care back in the North and enjoy the weekend :)

Ha det gott allihopa :)

+ 33 °C in Avignon
Well the weather is nice here, so I think I will stay for a while. I was just checking the temperature on the Internet at different places in Europe and this seems to be one of the warmer spots. Thanks to the mistral it's bearable to go out even for longer walks. You just need to remember your water-bottle wherever you go, then you're alright.
There are no alleys with orange-trees here, as in Moroc, but I enjoy peonies, lavendel (how do you spell that?) and huge cones. Evey ones in a while a lizzard runs close to my feet and a random dog may join me while I'm walking. The one today was very persistent. Since he was rather big I felt a bit intimidated, but he just stuck with me. None of my French words uttered with a firm voice would be of any help to chase him away. Finally when I came to the supermarket I thought I had found my rescue. But no. They were just closing for the daily siesta. So instead, I stopped by the next Boulangerie, but the dog went inside, ahead of me, so somehow when I came in after I felt responsible for that unwanted creature, and found myself explaining about the animal that he really wasn' t mine, and so on. Anyway I ended up buying some bread and now the dog followed me even closer. So I decided to hide from him in the nearest phonebooth. Well it wasn't really hiding, since it was built of four windows. I closed the door and observed. First came a short man. The dog greated the man and tried to join him. Of some invisible reason he wouldn't stick to him. He came back to my booth waiting for me to get out. Finally there came a young woman. The dog ran after her and now accompanied her. Clearly she was bothered, but I saw my chance and ran out, across the street and a few meeters ahead, until the dog was out of sight. Alors! Free at last.
Well there isn' t much more to report from here. Besides from dog-walks, I'm just thinking, writing a little, reading my Hemingway and drinking some French coffe at the nearest café.
Wish you all the best!
Lolo :)
